Allegra joined GRŌ in June 2021, to join her aunt, Betsy Sullivan. She became the owner of the practice in June 2022. She moved to Bozeman from Boston, MA where she received her master’s degree from Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions. During her time in graduate school she worked inpatient at Boston Children’s Hospital on their feeding and swallowing team and outpatient in their Down syndrome clinic and airway clinic. After graduating she stayed in Boston and worked in early intervention with children birth-3 years old and later, in a private pediatric neurological and physical habilitation clinic. During her time working in private practice she worked with medically complex children including those with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, seizure disorders, Angelman syndrome, Pitt Hopkins, STXBP1 and Kleefstra syndrome.

She is passionate about working with medically complex children, utilizing total communication methods and strategies, and has extensive experience with a variety of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices including eye-gaze-activated speech-generated devices. She is also passionate about pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She holds certifications and has extensive training in the Sequential Oral-Motor Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) for pediatric swallowing disorders including dysphagia and aspiration risks. She is currently the only listed provider for NMES treatment for pediatric dysphagia in Montana. She is certified as a Qualified Orofacial Myologist (QOM) working with children and adults on feeding, swallowing, and speech disorders.

Stephanie is a licensed and credentialed pediatric speech pathologist. She is passionate about work to educate parents about their child’s speech and language development. 

Her professional interests include prelinguistic and early language development, family involvement and education, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, working with children on the Autism Spectrum and orofacial myology disorders. 

She has completed the formal training for Orofacial Myology: Basics to Habituation and is working towards becoming a qualified orofacial myologist (QOM).

Dana joined GRŌ in 2019 after a career as a performer and educator in performing arts. She is passionate about working with children to achieve their speech and language goals and working with families to find and implement functional communication strategies. 

She enjoys working with children of all ages in the areas of articulation and phonological disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, dysfluency/stuttering and orofacial myology. 

She has completed the formal training for Orofacial Myology: Basics to Habituation and is working towards becoming a qualified orofacial myologist (QOM).

Susan Krueger joined grō speech in the summer of 2017 after receiving her Master’s degree from the UM Communicative Sciences and Disorders graduate program.

Susan’s primary specialty is working with children and adults with orofacial myology (OFM) disorders. Clients that have been prescribed the OFM program by their otolaryngologist, dentist or orthodontist may also need treatment for challenges with articulation, fluency, developmental language delays, apraxia of speech and other issues. Susan received training through NeoHealth Services, Inc., and is a Qualified Orofacial Myologist (QOM).

She has also received formal training in the Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT) protocol, the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and the Interactive Metronome.

Prior to the Speech Therapy profession, Susan enjoyed a 30-year career as a research associate within the Cell Biology and Neuroscience department at MSU-Bozeman.

Susan and her husband raised two sons in the Gallatin Valley. They enjoy alpine and backcountry skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and gardening.

Cheri has worked as a speech pathologist for over 20 years, she is passionate about evidence-based practice in the areas of Early Language development and disorders, apraxia of speech and phonological disorders. 

She is a highly trained specialist in augmentative and alternative communication systems and devices and takes care to ensure and encourage communication development in the nonverbal population. 

Cheri has completed the formal training for Orofacial Myology: Basics to Habituation and is working towards becoming a qualified orofacial myologist (QOM).

MOTR/L, CLC

Lacey graduated from Idaho State University before moving to Bozeman, MT to work as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in 2019. She has worked with children in a variety of settings for over 10 years and enjoys collaborating with families to support their children’s participation in meaningful activities. Lacey targets skill development in areas including self-regulation, executive functioning, sensory processing, and gross/fine motor through client-centered goals tailored to each child’s needs. She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor and enjoys assisting mothers in their feeding journey to create a plan that works for both them and their baby.

Betsy Sullivan is the former owner of GRŌ Speech since 2000. She has a passion for working with both adults and children. Betsy is a certified Orofacial Myology via the IAOM and trained in Talk Tools, PROMPT using interactive metronome, which is a brain-based rehabilitative assessment and training program. 

She has a love of treating children with apraxia of speech and is CASANA recognized for Advanced Training and Expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech. 

Betsy is the only provider in Montana for the SpeechEasy Device, which is a fluency device. She also treats adults for dysfluency/stuttering, orofacial myology and voice disorders.

Aubrey is a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who graduated from the University of Montana and is from Three Forks, MT. She got her bachelor’s degree from Montana State University making her a Montana woman to her roots.

During the time in her graduate program, she gained a wide variety of experiences working in Washington state in settings such as the public school system, teletherapy, and inpatient/outpatient hospitals. She has had the opportunity to work with the neurodiverse population extensively, educating and treating dysphagia, aphasia, phonological awareness, apraxia of speech, and a variety of speech and communication disorders. She has experience with animal-assisted therapy with Eagle Mount and working in a hospital setting during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She has collaborated with an interprofessional practice team from across the region to create a resource for young children including Utah, North Dakota, and Idaho. She is working towards becoming a certified Qualified Orofacial Myologist (QOM) working with children and adults on feeding, swallowing, and speech disorders. She is passionate about working with all ages and their families to educate, advocate, and treat speech language pathology disorders.

 

Brenda was born and raised in the Dillon/Lima area of Montana. She worked for the Post Office as a Highway Contractor for 27 years before moving on to the healthcare field. She has worked in healthcare for 15 years and counting. She loves seeing all of the smiling faces of the children coming into gro! Brenda has two wonderful sons that own a masonry business in Bozeman. Her favorite hobbies are painting, cross-stitching and crocheting. She loves camping, fishing and seeing friends and family. Amanda moved to Bozeman in July 2017 and completed her Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Montana in Missoula. After graduation, Amanda worked in a variety of settings and populations including a rural elementary school in Oregon, a private practice working with toddlers up to young adults, and then opened her own private business seeing high school students with executive functioning deficits in the summer of 2023.  She joined Gro spring of 2024 to continue serving the community and improve communication for children, teens, and adults. Amanda is passionate about working with children with complex communication disorders including mixed speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), orofacial myology disorders, executive functioning deficits, and more. Amanda holds certifications in diagnosis and treatment of orofacial myology disorders, dynamic tactile and temporal cueing for CAS, augmentative and alternative communication, and executive functioning disorders. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, backpacking, and traveling.

Audriana completed her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Montana. She is a licensed and credentialed speech-language pathologist and is passionate about working with patients and families to work towards functional speech and language goals. She believes building connections with her patients is important for successful individualized therapy.

Audriana has experience working with all ages, from toddlers to adults. Her professional interests include speech sound disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), prelinguistic and early language development, expressive and receptive language disorders, alternative and augmentative communication, aphasia, and orofacial myofunctional disorders. These interests are expanding as Audriana values continuing education and growth in the field. 

She has completed the formal training for Orofacial Myology: Basics to Habituation and is working towards becoming a qualified orofacial myologist (QOM).

Kaysie graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science prior to receiving a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mary. Kaysie embraces a holistic philosophy combining a client-centered and occupation-based approach to treatment. She addresses developmental skills to promote functional independence among neurodiverse children. She is a certified lactation counselor and has extensive training in feeding including the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach (SOS) and Beckman Oral Motor Protocol. Outside of practicing, Kaysie enjoys cross-country skiing, bird hunting, hiking, and fishing with her husband, daughter, and two German shorthaired pointers.
